I’m studying law, and read a book that illustrates how casino security are allowed to violate a casino patron’s rights when the win too much money certain games (like blackjack). This includes illegally detaining them, physical/verbal harassment, and unlawful searches.
HOW are they able to get away with this? Even when it’s brought to court, they are rarely acknowledged of committing these violations of the law

These people are not allowed to break the law. If a gambling patron wanted to sue in civil court then he or she is free to do that. Winning the case is a totally different matter.
Now in certain “company towns” juries are reluctant to bite the hand that feeds them. Disney rarely loses civil suits in Orlando, FL because Disney employs a large number of people in Orlando.
In Las Vegas it can be the same way. The casinos are the industry and biting that hand is something done with great caution.
Also,if you get detained for counting cards while playing blackjack then do you really want the publicity of a civil trial? That will end your career as a card counter. You’ll get blacklisted by every casino on Earth. Card counting is not illegal but to the casinos it might as well be. Getting banned for life is as bad as it gets if you card count or break the law and cheat in a casino.

Most areas that have casinos are dependent on them for the local economy. It’s like oil in Texas. Places that are dependent on an industry write and enforce their laws in a very friendly way towards them.

Most patrons don’t complain. Hence, there is no one looking further into it. Your assumption that a casino has to do business with someone who is winning is false. Furthermore, most states that have casino gambling make cheating a crime. They also allow a casino owner to detain someone when they have a reasonable suspicion that the patron is cheating. If the law allow the detention, then it is not breaking the law.

Because they work in a private establishment, and private establishments are permitted by law to stretch (not break) the law in many ways. In the case you’re describing, none of those actions is actually illegal. For instance, they can detain you if they think you’ve broken a law, and you can’t necessarily prove that they DON’T think you broke a law. They can harass you verbally because harassment is subjective. They can legally search a person on their premises for the same reason they can detain you: Suspicion of illegal acts. The same way a drugstore can detain and search you if they think you’re a shoplifter.

Which is why professional gamblers know that when approached by security personnel, they are to leave the property and not return. They are not to go with the security staff.
If the security staff physically assaults someone on the floor, that’s a bad thing for the casino.
