I am researching the topic about Casino (increasing the odds of winning). Last night I went and played $200 to see the difference in payout…Lost it all. Are there any gambling experts out there that can help. I’m curious about how casinos work.

The only casino game you have a chance at is live poker because you play against other players and not the casino. If you play for fun and entertainment fine, but don’t expect to make money from playing casino games.

The machine won’t change its odds based on the amount you wager. It’s all superstition. Slot machines are just computers making noise. The programming instructions are simple: accept your money, show you some colorful pictures, repeat.

Zero dollars. A standard 3 reel slot with 20 symbols per reel will give you odds of about 1 in 8 million of hitting the jackpot. Can you imagine what the odds are on a multi-line video slot?! Yeah… astronomical. They don’t call them one arm bandits for nothing. They were designed to take your money. If you really want a chance for your money with way better odds, then play black jack or video poker. You will last a lot longer on those games than you will with slots.

There are ways to win, but it really isn’t dependent on the money, but rather what machines are hitting and when. Casino owners program the machines to hit at certain times and in certain places. Even with that, they still have the worst odds of any game in a Casino.
Although, I do know people who can go to a Casino, play slots, and come home a winner almost every time. My Mother-In-Law can do it, but she puts more effort into it than it’s worth, imho. She walks around the Casino floor for over an hour before she sits down. Figuring out what machines are hitting and where they are hitting. She also takes alot of other factors into play when she’s figuring out what machines to play, like time of day, day of the week, and population of the casino floor. Cost of the game is never a factor.
