Someone I know cashed a $10,000 check at a casino that they have VIP at so they dont even bother checking. What can happen in this situation?
Oh, and the intentions are to pay it back but she obviously was thinking that she was going to cash it and win with it. Is there a chance of a payment plan?
anyone know what the usual time in prison might be?

She better find the money, and a lot of money VERY quickly. Try to resolve this before it gets very worse for her. She committed a felony. She may very well be looking at a long time in prison. She committed a fraud, theft of services.

Now for the good news … the casino is going to look like a bunch of fools if this goes to court. Court equals publicity, the kind a casino does not like! They should be looking to make a deal.
Someone you know should make a full confession (with the help of a lawyer) to the casino, offer the most aggressive payment plan they can afford … and offer to surrender whatever credentials they have for the VIP treatment at that casino. The casino will probably agree to the plan … maybe adding that someone you know is banned from the premises.
