Table Stakes means that, whether limit or no limit, you’re not allowed to bring more money into the game during a hand. You can only bet with what you had on the table before you were dealt any cards. The writers of the new Casino Royale KNEW that this is a mistake, but they deliberately went ahead and made the mistake anyway. They acknowledged the rule by having the dealer point out that a player can’t bring any more money to the table, but then they just let the players and the dealer shrug off the rule anyway.
