Great performance! A lot of laymen think that performing for kids is easier, when most magicians would agree that it is much harder. Great routine…tricks were short and to the point and kept their short attention span. Put on a Happy Face is such a visual effect, and was perfect for this crowd.

The key to controlling an audience is performing for the right people. The little boy was obviously uncontrollable. He clearly was excited and had a good time. But he could have been a disaster to perform for. Treat an audience as one entity. There will be week links and strong links to an audience. If you choose a week link you could lose control of your audience. Perform for someone who isn’t well behaved and the whole audience could think that is acceptable. Then your in trouble.
