8 years ago my wife and I filed Bankruptcy because I lost two jobs in the same year.
This was in the post 9-11 down turn economy.
Since then my credit has been OK.
I am trying to get a job at a Casino as a Warehouse Manager, will they still hire me?
It won’t come off my record until May of 2012

When they check your credit they are looking to see if you have any unpaid debts to the government. If you are able to get a license then most casinos will be willing to hire you if they have need. The best way to find out if you qualify for a gaming license is to call the folks at the gaming commission and ask them if your situation is a deal breaker.

The 2012 reference above is probably your credit report and has very little to due with your actual record of employment. That is because many applications only ask if you have EVER filed bankruptcy, not if it still included by the credit bureaus. The fall back for an employer is using an incorrect response as justification for termination.
Unfortunately, it would be very difficult to penetrate an interview process with such a small margin for error. Good Luck?
