Can you take chips out of a Vegas hotel casino?

Sure, you’ll just be paying face value for them. If you buy large value chips, your guests might even go back to the casino to redeem them though.

The casinos don’t mind this at all. The chips cost a lot less than a dollar for them, so they win even if you don’t bet them.

Yes you paid for them

Yes, though technically not. If you take a large amount, security may stop you and ask you to cash them or or when you attempt to leave the table. The chips are not legal tender, only good at the casino where you trade real money for them. So, if you decide to do this, take some here and there over several separate times in the casino.

Yes, you can do this. My friend actually did the exact same thing and gave $5.00 chips from the Wynn as part of her wedding favors. A few people gambled them after the ceremony, but most people held on to them. You just have to pay whatever value the chip is.

You can talk them out of the casino. Why wouldn’t you be able to? The casinos don’t care if you never redeem them.
You can also redeem most chips at all the other hotels. My sister lives in vegas and got married there. Friends spent all day going to the different casinos to get chips for their wedding present, thinking what an adventure it would be for them to redeem them… nope, they did all in one place.

Yeah you can do that! You just can take them to another casino and play with these same chips..

sure, the casino has your money already. do you think they care? people sell chips on ebay all the time. if i get a chip i like at the hard rock or palms i usually hold onto them. well $5 chips of course.

When you say ‘chips’ I think you are actually referring to casino ‘checks’. They are called checks because they have a denomination value on them; $1, $5, $25, $100 and up. And yes you can buy them at a table game or the main cage, and take them with you. (In fact they don’t mind that at all, since they don’t cash them later).
An actual casino ‘chip’ is used on the roulette table and does not have a value printed on them. They can be used for different values at different times. And they become VERY annoyed if you try to take one of those from the table.

sure, you have to pay face value for the chips. just put em in your pocket
you give them real money, they give you fake money that can only be spent in their casino. If you dont use it, the casino wins
