What I can say here is that there has been historical cases where the person eventually developed some ways to beat the house but couldn’t really exploit it as he soon got known and banned by each and every casino on the land.
So in the end he still was the loser as he wasted all his time on it and there was nowhere he could use it.
Had he learned something like a skill, anything at all, he would have been sorted for life, smoothly sailing through it doing what he knew instead of hitting a stone wall. Bit of a downer wasting time like that.
