I am looking for a new job and thought about an office job at a new casino that will be opening up next month. What do you think? What is your job? Do you like it and do you make good money? Thanks for any info you can give me!

I worked in a Casino as a security officer in California. I work in both office and the floor.
As far as I know, people don’t make good moneys(unless you are a poker dealer) and people in the casino just don’t take care of their workers. Trust me, even thou they say you have a union, the Union usually doesnt do anything for you.
Also, YOU CAN GET FIRED FOR NO REASON AT ALL, that is part of any casino employment contract (AT-WILL EMPLOYMENT). Or they ll make you count money all day, all the dust from the bill ‘ll fly into the air… its just not healthy. =(
Avg. people won’t work in a casino for more than 6 month.
But that is just form my exp.

I worked in the casino industry for five years but on the floor in table games. I made good money but got sick of the irregular hours, working weekends and holidays and the drunk customers.
